A question was recently asked by a small group of people:
We bought a copilot for ms365 account and now we want to use it with several people in the office, and we want to use the "create word or ppt from file" feature, but we don't want to mix everyone's files in one onedrive, is there any way to do that?
The problem is very real.
copilot for ms365 price is more expensive, directly from the official website to subscribe to the business version of office+copilot need at least 300+/month/account, even according to our plan subscription is also need a minimum of 130/month/account (exclusive to change the password to bind the phone).
Therefore, multiple people in the office sharing a single account for copilot in the Word, Excel and ppt suite without sharing their respective documents is a pressing issue.
In fact, the solution to this problem has long been given by this public:
Copilot for Microsoft 365 available for all accounts
The essence is to purchase a set of office365 accounts with the copilot feature and log into the office software on your own computer so that your original office365 account can also use the copilot feature directly.
For example, I have multiple office365 accounts, but only one of them has purchased a COPILOT subscription, which is the one boxed in the middle, but once that account logs into this office software, the other office365 accounts also have a COPILOT license along with it:
This article expands on a little more detail.
If you want your original office365 account to use Copilot's "Create Word or PPT from File" feature, you mustOriginally had an office365 business edition accountThe Personal Home Edition cannot support this feature.
You can switch to your account in the upper right corner of the Word, Excel and PPT suite:
Then open the file in onedrive of your original account, and then create a new file to reference the previously opened file:
Turning on the auto-save feature also saves it directly to your original Business Edition account, and doesn't store it on top of your new account, which doesn't result in documents and information being shared with others.
Of course, the restrictions are clearer, as previously stated and repeated.
