After a 13-year wait, Final Cut Pro has finally been upgraded to version 11, with cutting-edge artificial intelligence features built in.
Available for download today, it's free for existing users and available for $300 for new users after a 90-day trial in the Mac App Store.

- AI Magic:Magnetic Mask: This tool makes cropping people or objects from videos a breeze without the need for a green screen. You can customize the background and apply precise color correction for stylized editing.
- Transcribe to Captions: Final Cut now allows you to add text to the video timeline through Apple's own language model-driven automatic transcription - making subtitling a one-click process.
- Spatial Video Editing: With the ability to capture spatial video with the Apple Vision Pro Mixed Reality headset, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 16, Final Cut Pro 11 brings tools for editing, color correcting, and adjusting depth in this immersive format.
- Streamlined Timeline Control: The Magnetic Timeline feature simplifies rearranging clips without losing synchronization, making editing smoother and faster.
- Optimized for Apple Silicon: Built specifically for the M-Series chips, Final Cut Pro 11 takes performance to new heights by allowing users to process multiple 4K and 8K ProRes streams simultaneously.
